About Consumer Credit Counseling Service

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northern Colorado and Southeast Wyoming (CCCS), is a non-profit 501c3 agency, whose mission is to help people resolve financial problems and learn money management skills. CCCS counselors are certified by the NFCC (National Foundation for Credit Counseling). The agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children. The agency receives funding from area United Ways.

How Can CCCS Help?

Financial Counseling
Meet with a financial counselor and learn skills you need to manage your money and maintain a safe level of debt. Topics may include: setting goals, tracking spending, paycheck planning, controlling the use of credit cards, power payments, covering annual expenses. Sliding scale fee.

Financial Workshops through the MoneySense Financial Health Center
Increase your financial savy. Our workshops can help. Varied topics include topics that will help you become financially fit.  We can provide free workshops regarding many financial topics for your civic organization, workplace, or club.   

Financial Programs for Young Adults
Free classroom presentations titled Acting Your Wage, Just Charge It!, and Your Ticket to Ride.

Debt Management
Juggling payments? Stop collection calls. Reduce stress and get out of debt. CCCS works directly with your creditors. Lower payments and reduced interest charges may be possible.  Improve your credit rating over time as debts are paid down and off.   Alternative to bankruptcy. Confidential. Adequate income necessary. 

HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency
A full range of housing counseling programming is available.  Is owning a home in your future? Let us help you make good decisions regarding this large lifetime purchase with a plan of action.  

If you start to fall behind on mortgage payments, one of our housing counselors will have critical information to help you review all of your options. 

Reverse Mortgage Counseling for Seniors and Rental Counseling are also offered. 

Bankruptcy Counseling and Education
CCCS is approved* to issue certificates by the U. S. Justice Department for the  required counseling and education for persons who are considering or in the process of filing bankruptcy.
